Can I drive in Nevada with a driver license from another state or country?

Yes. Nevada honors licenses and permits issued by the appropriate government agency in another state or country. An International Driver License is not required for foreign visitors.

What are the requirements for renting a vehicle?

Well, obviously a valid drivers license is necessary, proof of insurance and a major credit or debit card.

Can I get the car delivered at 8am or 11pm?

Yes. Our goal is complete customer satisfaction and, unlike our competitors, we are available after hours by appointment only to ensure your experience will be memorable. We do charge $50 for delivery to all Strip properties and the greater part of Las Vegas and Henderson. However, all deliveries need to be scheduled in advance. We also require a 30-minute delivery window in case of anything that may arise that is out of our control. Give us a shout – we’ll do our best to work around your schedule.

Why is there a 30-minute delivery window?

We have a 30-minute window for deliveries because, unfortunately, we cannot control traffic, weather, etc., and we’ve learned to leave more time rather than less. We always aim to get there at the beginning of your delivery window, so we promise to do our absolute best.

Do you offer hourly rentals?

WE DO NOT RENT BY THE HOUR. We’ve run the numbers and 4 hours is the sweet spot for us to detail the vehicles and turn them around for the next enthusiast. You and these cars deserve a proper experience and it is not worth it for either of us to entertain anything less than 4 hours.

I only want it for one day on the weekend. Can I do that?

Yes. Diplomat Exotic Car Rentals only requires a 4-hour minimum. However, there are some perks to keeping the car longer. You will receive more free mileage and a discount for three or more days.

Does my own insurance cover the rental of a Ferrari?

More than likely, but we will do all the investigating on your behalf. We will get your insurance information and contact them directly to make sure you are not troubled. Some insurance companies require a conference call for you to give consent call but other than that we will handle everything.

I want to rent for my prom. I’m under 21, but my uncle/father/mother/sister/cat is going to rent it for me. I promise I won’t be driving the Ferrari. Is that OK?

Unfortunately, we’ve had bad experiences in the past with underage drivers getting their hands on our exotics after their relative rented the vehicle to “drive them” to prom. So we don’t do any prom rentals, period. However, if you’re a parent and want to arrange to rent one of our luxury sedans to be ‘chauffeur’ for the night, we’re happy to accommodate – just make sure that YOU make the call!

How many miles do I get with my rental?

Each rental receives 150 free miles per day. After the 150 included miles there is an additional $1.50-$3.50 per mile surcharge depending on which car was chosen. For example: The Lamborghini Huracan is $3.50 per mile while the Corvette Stingray is only $1.50 per mile over. All mileage charges will be taken from your security deposit but you may purchase extra mileage before your rental at a discounted price.

Why do I have to leave a security deposit?

Due to the extremely high cost of the vehicles we offer, it is our policy to take a refundable security deposit for all of our rentals. The deposits are the same as the 24-hour rental price for that particular car. They can range from $299 – $1499 depending on the vehicle rented and level of insurance you carry. Even if you are only renting the car for 4 hours the security deposit will be the same as the 24-hour rental price. Rest assured, this is refunded in full once the vehicle has been returned to us and thoroughly inspected. If there are any additional mileage charges or minor damages, they are billed from your deposit and the balance is refunded back onto your credit card.

But I have insurance. Why would you bill me for damage?

We come across a lot of minor scuffs and scrapes on our cars when they go out on rentals – sometimes customers curb a wheel or scratch a front bumper. These repairs are quick and relatively inexpensive to make and are billed from the security deposit in order to minimize the amount of time the car is off the road. Once your invoice has been settled, you can of course make a claim to your insurance company to be reimbursed for any charges.

How much tax do I have to pay?

We have included all fees in our price so what you see is what you get. As long as you do not need supplemental insurance coverage or additional mileage there will be no supplemental fees.

What is your refund policy?

A refund will only be issued if the cancellation is within 48 hours from original booking date and time.  After 48 hours, renter will receive a credit valid for one year from cancellation date.  Walk in bookings will not receive any refunds or credit.  If renter decides to return the vehicle early there will not be any refund or credit applied to the renter.
