Yes. You will need a full-coverage auto insurance policy which consists of comprehensive and collision, plus liability coverage. Minimum coverage limits must be $100,000 / $300,000 / $100,000. Yes. A $350 security deposit is required prior to the rental. This is an authorization hold on a valid credit card in the renter’s name and will be released after the vehicle is returned in proper condition.

No. Reckless driving, racing, or off-road use is strictly prohibited. Rentals must remain within 100 miles of Los Angeles unless prior approval is granted.
Only the approved renter may operate the vehicle unless additional drivers are pre-authorized and meet all eligibility requirements.
Renters must return the vehicle on time, in the same condition as when it was received, and with the agreed-upon fuel level. Additional charges may apply for damage, excessive wear, or insufficient fuel.
Diplomat Rentals Los Angeles reserves the right to terminate the rental if any terms are violated, including reckless use, substance influence, or unauthorized travel. Additional fees may be applied.
Yes. Renters are responsible for tolls, traffic tickets, fines, excessive cleaning, refueling, or any damage fees beyond the deposit.
The rental may be canceled or postponed due to weather, safety, or mechanical issues. A substitute vehicle may be provided at Diplomat Rentals Los Angeles discretion.
Renters assume full responsibility for injuries, accidents, or damages incurred during the rental. Collision Damage Waivers may be available but do not cover misuse or reckless behavior.
Yes, we offer complimentary delivery to the Santa Monica area as well as complimentary delivery to LAX*. When you enter your delivery address during the reservation process, our system will automatically display the applicable delivery cost.
*Delivery to LAX is free if the reservation is made at least 8 hours in advance
We are not responsible for any tickets you incur while driving our vehicles, nor will we pay any toll road fees. You are also responsible for any other fees, penalties, towing charges, or impound costs.
Clients are responsible for all expenses they incur in the rental vehicle. This includes tolls, tickets and towing.
Yes, we offer discounts for extended rentals. If you rent a vehicle for a minimum of 7 to 27 days, you'll receive a 15% discount on the base rental price. For rentals of 28 or more consecutive days, the discount increases to 30%. Please note that these discounts apply only to the base rental price and do not cover any additional charges.
Yes, there is a $500 fee for smoking in any of our cars.
